Exciting Possibilities for Sept!

So in my previous post i said i had a audition!

It was for a Schools band based in Plymouth that covers the Southwest! SO all the training i have had up here would be put to good use, but down south! :)

Its called L.E.D, and they go into schools doing lessons in R.E, P.S.E and others from a christian perspective. aswel as doing music and performances.

I would love prayer from people as L.E.D are deciding if they want me! its very exciting!

Last 3 Months in Manchester...

Hello Everyone!

So yes... i am updating my blog!! a rare occurance i know!

So whats been going on...

after being back in Yeovil for halfterm, we came back and went straight into, Teaching week! yayy!,

so this included, morning on creation/evolution, the worlds most epic sex and relationships talk/day !, and... one that i dont remeber!! And filling out a massive form so we can do prisons work...!

Then we had Prisons week, so we go with Reflext the prisions teams in to some prisons and do alpha and life skills with the prisoners. I cant really tell you too much about it!But it was good and challenging and a rolacoaster of emotions.

Then last week was "Gorton Prep week"

Monday: my team leader was off really poorly, and i stayed late to help with the message buisness partnership, which is basically lots of rich buisness people who come and we tell them about what we do and give them pizza!

Tuesday: i was really poorly!

Wednesday: I had a audition for a possibility for next year.. will write more about this in a different post! THEN had a showcase performance for all the kids we've been teaching vocals, dance and drums to! which was a late one!

Thurs: Anouther one of my team went home poorly! and we had a dance lesson using the old blushUK Mic stands, which are sparkley silver!! veryyy exciting!

Friday: We spent the morning trying on BlushUK stage outfits! and deciding which ones we want to borrow for our week in Gorton!! :) this was fun! THEN! Steve and Lisa From Newwine came over and we did Planning for Newwine this summer! VERY exciting!!!! :)

There is NEVER a quiet week on Genetik, but it is SO much fun! and learning SO much!
This week i am in Gorton, on the east side of the city, we are doing mission, doing youthclubs, homeless work, detached work, lots of different things it should be good!!!

Catch up....

So it has been a couple of weeks, so will have a brief catch up!!

LZ7 week was really amazing, it was really good to be in schools with them and see how they do lessons and assemblies and how they function as a band, I learnt lots of useful stuff that week!

since then we had a prep week for byker and a teaching week.

This week we were in Byker (newcastle) on our first Missions week. Byker is a strange place, it has a "wall" around it, which is like a block of flats that go around byker, and all the houses which are butlins style in the middle.
While we were there we have done school lessons, circus skills, did a performance and talk at a chatroom in the school which was really cool, and 3 youth clubs in the evenings, and 2 dance classes. We performed at the school in chatroom, dance and the youth clubs.
We were talking to the kids about how amazing they are and how beautiful God has made them, it was so amazing just to see this click in the kids heads and was such a privilege to get to know the kids over the week, who have such different lives to what i have had.
Every day the kids come and knock on the door at Laura and Chris's house (the eden workers) and they come in and chat to them and take their dog for a walk, Laura and Chris are amazing and like second parents to most of the youths on the estate!
We had such a amazing week up there absolutely loved it!

Mum and Dad and David are visiting tomorrow, then I'm in school with Tweleve24 (another message band) next week!

Hello Lovely blog readers!!!

so its 2011! and ive been here for nearly 5months now.
This term is very different to last term...
last term we did ALOT of training each morning and afternooon and placements every evening.
This term we have been split into "missions teams" there are 4 teams and they are all different, i am in a girlband with 3 others called Liberty.
each week of this term is going to be different, going to different places and doing different things.
This week we are in a school with Lz7 (one of the messages mission bands) they got a number 26 in the charts at the end of last year.
In a few weeks we are going to Byker in newcastle for a week, while we are there we will be doing performances in youth clubs and schools aswell as doing teaching. We are all VERY VERY excited about this!!
So i now only do 2 evenings in Oldtrafford doing Detached and Youth club. which means a little bit more sleep some weeks!!

Prayer points:

-Everyone here is starting to think about what we are going to be doing in septmeber... as ever i am undecided and have a few differnt options, so prayer that i decide and get the right options.

-for my missions team, and the other girls, Abi, Shelley, and Lydia. that are planning and missions go well.

-for good health, and no more getting poorly.

-i would really really really like a car, soo for some1 to decided to give me a car, or for about £2000 to somehow turn up would be lovely!!
